Anyone had dealings with Vans Automotive?

http://www.vansauto.com/fueltanks.html

I am contemplating a new gas tank for my 66 Valiant and these guys are by far the most economical(cheap $140). I was kind of under the impression that Spectre made all the gas tanks around so all are equal.

Thanks, Dennis

I have purchased several parts from them. and yes they are the least expensive vendor around. but also have great communication, shipping and will combine shipping on multi-purchases. and yes the tank is spectre I got one for my cuda from them with sending unit.

I just purchased a tank from them plus the seals. Good quality, no obvious issues, good prices. Quick ship. Rog

Is this the same "Spectre" that makes all the aftermarket stuff?

If it is, I think I'd just as soon park mine.

No, different company. I believe there are only 2 companies making the tanks. The big difference is how the are coated/finished

I think "Spectra" and "Spectre" must be different companies. I tank I bought from Vans Automotive was manufactured by Spectra in Canada and it was good quality and as was mentioned above they shipped fast and gave good customer service.

Thanks everyone for the input. It's nice to have people to talk to when you are exploring new(to me) vendors. Guess I'll be getting me a new gas tank soon.
Sorry my bad spelling opened some wounds. It is Spectra as I recall. Once again. Thanks all, Dennis
