I'm not even sure if they made these or not. Not running a heater and want a clean stock look on my dash. I have a radio delete panel. This is for a 1968 Dart. Any info would be great. Thanks

Thanks! I was afraid of the price but what is cheap in this hobby?

Do you have the deluxe panel that continues over to the glove box panel or the radio plate that does not have a glove box panel??

Anyways, just make your own from plastic sheet that has grain on it. Even though the delete panel is molded in, I looks just like a thin sheet was placed over the controls. Like the mold just had that stuck in there. There is a defined edge and the corners are square.

IIRC, that all that ebay seller is doing then having it chromed OR I think PG Classics might be making a new molded piece.

It might take you around two hours to make your own with painting, bondo, and all. And they will not be rechromed.

An original piece will likely cost you more than that re-pop. As far as I can tell they only came on cars sold in Florida and Hawaii and are as rare as hens teeth. Ask me how I know.

Here's a pic of a home made one..

That looks like the way to go autox.
wifey let me use MY computer long enough to dig up this pic of an original base model block off plate which I still have as well as the correct firewall plate. I had a deluxe one too (Signet) but I gifted it to my friend for his '69 build. I had one in the '68 Dart post that I had and it was the same as the Signet's.

Regardless of what they cost or how you fabricate one, delete plates are just plain cool!

I love the no-frills deal, just says factory race car.

Debating on finding heater and radio delete plates myself for my Duster.

The way it usually goes is "thanks guys for the information and helping me out".
I can't speak for eveybody on FABO, but if you ask a question about parts or whetever , and when a number, any number, of people chime in to help you with your build, it would be nice if you acknowlegded the people that responded to your post. -pauly

I hope this isn't a dig towards me. I thanked the first person that replied and just got home to check any other responses. I'm ALWAYS thankful the help I received here on FABO. THANKS EVERYBODY WHO RESPONDED TO THIS THREAD!
