i wanted to raise my rpm with the adjustement and i played with the wrong thing !!! and i felt that the car wasnt pushing like before , can it be related ???

look at the adjusting screw on the throttle shaft...the is your idle speed adjuster...

as said..those adjust the idle mixture....

so it did affect ?

It would have changed the amount of fuel at idle. The RPM adjustment for idle is the screw the controls how open the throttle is. It's located at the bottom of the throttle bracket. As was stated, 1.5 turns out is a good starting location for the idle mixture screw.

both screws on either side of the metering block must be adjusted exactly the same amount of turns out. you can go to the other side, turn the screw in until it stops, do not force it in, count the whole turns and the partial percentage, turn it back out where it was, then go to the one you adjusted and put it where the other side is. when you are tuning these carbs, you are looking for the highest reading on a vacuum gauge with the mixture, then adjust your curb idle accordingly.
