I just got a Holley HP 750 DP I ordered from Holley and in the instruction/info/sticker bag were two small 3/4inch brass threaded one one side and hollow with threads on the inside. No numbers or anything. What are these two brass fitting looking things? I'm at work and forgot to bring them in to take pics of, so can someone help me out. Holley has not got back to me on their online Tech yet.

OK...I found out what they are ( from the Holley website). Anyone out there install these in their carbs??

An improved jet extension design that actually screws into the metering block. The main metering jet then threads into the end of the extension. The installation effectively moves the fuel entry point for the main jet out into the fuel bowl. In this location it cannot be uncovered by fuel, causing a lean condition, during periods of hard acceleration or braking. 2/Pkg.

Main Jet Extension

Installation Notes
Requires the use of special “notched” float to achieve proper clearance and to operate properly. Notched float number 116–11 Or Kit with float and extensions 116–10.

Thanks in advance.

they are used in the rear metering block, drag racers usually use them...as the car launches from the starting line..the fuel will want to move to the rear of bowl...the extensions move the point of entry for the fuel rearward.....

for a street car and everyday driver they generally are not needed...

Unless that street car and everyday driver is sometimes subjected to periods of hard acceleration or braking!
Now who would do that? Certainly not any of us! LOL

I'll install them and do a little R&D. Rev and Dump (of the clutch) and see what happens. Can't be a bad thing...right?
