Just wanted to say thank you to all of our Military Veterans we have on the site. It doesn't need to be a set aside day to thank you guys. I know some of you never get to hear someone say thank you just randomly. So I want to thank you all. If not for you fighting for my freedom in the past I would have no freedom to fight for in the present. Thank you

Amen brother. Times a million. Stay safe. That's a redneck civilian order.

thank you guys that say thank you to us.. helps in the tough times knowing there's lots of americans supporting us

The Military is my family. It would be like not saying thank you to your mom when she gives you a birthday present. The gift you gave was the gift of freedom. Thank you for that. I really believe that our Vets are neglected and should be treated better then most people.

theres a lot of vet programs out there and every month theyl have a representative talk about different stuff

its my job just like all the workforce in america, and we all signed the paper..

im only a part time soldier lol national guard my unit is in Rhinelander wisconsin

Cool. What is your MOS? I was National Guard in KY from 99-04 then went active duty from 04-present. I was originally a 63S(heavy wheeled vehicle mechanic) then redesignated a 63B(wheeled vehicle mechanic) then they changed the formt and it is now a 91B same thing as a 63B. But I reclassed in 07 to 89D EOD. Sitting in Iraq right now.

21b or 12b combat engineer, 2013 were goin somewhere for a year

arent you all getting out of iraq? (i rarely watch the news)

what unit and state?

I am active duty now out of Fort Bragg NC. We are supposed to be leaving later this month. There are still troops here and there will always be troops here. My entire unit is here.

Thanks Corey, It's folks like you and all the others who make America the greatest place on earth to live. 1st Cav vet, Viet Nam '69-'71.

Cool thread! I spent 10+ years in the Ohio National Gurad before coming on active duty where I'm still serving and have 20+ years currently (30+ combined). First 23 years was 11C (Mortarman / Infantry) before re-classing to 88N (Transportation Management Coordinator) due to 4 knee surgeries. Been to the big sandbox twice and am about to do a third, 1-year tour in Korea. After the tour to Korea I plan to drop my retirement and get out with 32+ years. My father served 35+ years so I figure the 67years between us more than covers our families patriotic duty, haha.

I thank anyone I see in uniform. The wife and I were at Steak and Shake just yesterday when two guys walked in, in digital camo, and sat in the booth next to us. I made a point to thank them for their service. It did garner a bit of an odd reaction from them, maybe they don't hear it enough.

thankyou and stay safe until you get home shorttimer!, "Big Red One" Vietnam,Joe
