This is my first mopar build a 1974 Plymouth Duster.

I have collected all the parts to put a 70 front clip on the car.

Currently I have a 318 with a mild cam, not certain of the specs but plan on pulling it just to check. I have 302 heads that have 2.02 valves installed to use as well and a forged crank.

The car doesnt have much rust except the rear quarters very minimal. Car was originally a automatic but the previous owner had gathered all the parts to put a manual in the car (currently I only have a 3 speed) Car also had an AC unit in it. Under mount type seems aftermarket but date correct to the car. Very interesting piece and I will be putting it back in the car.

Looks like a solid start, have fun with your build.

legendary auto interiors would be the best bet for your seat covers. It could cost you though. Good luck with the build, keep us posted and ask questions when needed!

It looks like the rebuilt engine that came with my car was a truck 318 judging by the pan (has the sump at the rear) the engine mounts are different than whats on the block that came out of it.....

Anyone have experience with this? I want to get the block in the car soon as im unfortunately just going to have to put it together quickly for now and use it as a driver.

Maybe I was just looking at it wrong I need to run to my shop where the car is and look at the engine tabs, but I was thinking it had different tabs. I know my K-member is for spool mounts.

Its been awhile, ill be posting my pictures tomorrow.

I assembled my mild 318, flat top pistons 302 heads, mild RV cam. LD4B Eddy intake with a eddy 600 carb. Hooker headers and exhaust package.

Painted the engine bay chassis flat black, did undercoating under the fenderwells and belly of the car.

Installed the 318 just need to put the transmission in tomorrow.

Got a full new wiring harness to install from Waggs (Thanks waggs!!)

Will be installing the harness over the next couple of weeks and start her up!!! Cant wait to see how she runs.

Will begin fixing both rear quarter panels with replacements and the rear tunk lock area where somebody broke into the car with a screwdriver and hammer....

For the interior I picked up a set of bucket seats so will be doing away with my bench.

If you still need covers you can go to year one and wait for a discount code and it ends up costing less then legendary

Thanks for the advice.

Its been a fun project never had such an easy time putting an engine in a car!

Ill take some pictures when I go out to work on it tomorrow afternoon.

LD4B intake, this is from when I got it, did not clean up well so I hammer tone finished it looks great on the engine.

Got to work on my car some over the past few weekends. Got the transmission installed and linkages hooked up, having some issues with the clutch pedals but im missing the fork return spring should be here late this week hopefully that will fix my problem.

Started rolling out the wiring harness I got from waggs, hope to crank it up in the next week or so.

For the time being im going to do the body work flat black the car and cruise it as is.

Any idea what the fan pictured is? I know its not a clutch fan

Im afraid so, most of the interior plastics were trashed, only missing a couple peices. Anywhere you'd know of to find a new dashpad?

BEA Parts has dash pads for $325 or so. I believe Dante's Parts sells them too which is were I usually buy interior stuff from.

Anyone use a rust inhibitor like rust bullet or por15? thinking about brushing down the interior sheet metal and underside with it. Any opinions?
