My first cassette was Iron Maiden Live after Death that I tricked my Mom into buying for me at Kmart. I was 10 years old. Recently, I blew the dust off of some old Slayer, Megadeth, Nuclear Assault etc. Cassettes that have been following me around for the last 20 years and blasting them in the garage.

I can't believe I ever stopped listening to it. I think it had something to do with when I cut off my mullet and lost my magical powers.

Who's got some suggestions for newer Metal? I'm not much into the cookie monster garble though. These cassettes sound like s**t after years in storage.

Maiden, one of my favorites!Start a seperate thread about new good rock/metal,you will be surprised.Might try Buckcherry/Chickenfoot(Sammy Hagar,Micheal Anthony,Stevie Vai).I hate the garbled stuff.

uh...mudvayne, deftones, korn? A7x as stated above, mastodon... evans blue ..megadeth is still around and antrax just put out a new album last year. tool is always good and all of maynards side projects outside of tool are good. there are so many bands... if you have a free pandora account just type in your fave band name and it does a great job of selecting like music...

Cassette, whats that? LOL

Im going to see Iron Maiden and Alice Cooper at the beach next month.

See you there ! I cant wait.

I dont listen to to much new stuff. I do like Mudvayne and AX7, Love BuckCherry, saw them last year but they are more straight out rock then metal. Drowing Pool is good

Just got a CD by a band called Pallbearer they're awesome! check out Fu Manchu, Nebula, Black Nasa, Volbeat, Zoroaster, Monster Magnet, Goat Snake, Sleep, Alabama Thunder Pussy, Spirit Caravan, Atomic ***** Wax, Unida, Orange Goblin, Solarized; Meteor City is a great label to check out... I'll check my collection and post up a few more bands for you all soon. I hate that unintelligeable sceamo crap too like Deftones, Lamb of God, 3 inches of Blood, Hate Breed, Bring me the Horizon (Sorry I tried) they suck. I still purchase discs and vinyl (at a Record store) and I love good solid metal and I'm 48! There is good music still being made it's just harder to find as it not marketed as well as these Warp Tour bands that are spoon fed to the younger Gen. Wow, I went off on this! Rock Out.

All Men Play on Ten!

Fighting, fighting, fighting the world!

Why did I know Man o ' War would be posted? Google "worst metal album covers".

Back when you might have heard the songs dozens of times, but might NOT know what they looked like...!!...!!

No kidding! Good band, though. The moer I listen to early Maiden, the more I realize how fantastic for the long run they were.(and are....)
