Where can I find this body trim? I have a a 72 dart and the ends are pointy instead of square.

Can someone help me identify this? I am refering to the body stripe down the center of the car on the side

That could very well be after-market and/or dealer installed from back in the day. I did a google search but couldn't find it.

Think this was an option. My Demon originally had it, but since the rear quarters are the only original sheet metal on the body, I opted to remove it. The "moulding, fender side, black" slid onto what look like little nails welded into the body. The rubber strip was glued in. In some climates, the glue failed causing the rubber to flop around until it fell off or broke off.

Back in the day TRW made something like it that was on a roll and had an adhesive back.

It was part of the "Bright exterior package" from what I understand. Got you that trim, plus some trim around the windows. Mine had it (72 as well), but I pulled it off when I repainted it. Interestingly enough, one side was glued on, the other side had holes drilled in the body for mounting tabs.

Do you know where I can find it? I really like it and since I am doing the paint right and the car is going to be driven daily, i see the value in exterior protection

I feel pretty lucky then as mine had been stick-on for both sides. Where might someone get this to replace it?

I don't know. Year One has B body moldings, but nothing for the A bodies. I would try to find someone parting a dart out, or post something in the wanted section, as most guys toss them the first chance they get.
