Paul called on Friday and said the car was painted and ready to pick up on Saturday morning. So I went over and checked it out, it looks great! I'm really excited about it. Saturday morning was sunny, so when we pushed it out of the shop to load it on the flatbed, it was really gleaming in the sun. Definitely secured my decision about color choice.
He also welded in the frame connectors I bought from US Car Tool.
And in the past couple days, my girlfriend and I have been doing the upholstry ourselves, doing the rear seat back, and the front seat backs.
