Yea thats what i am wondering as well, the car is sitting in my RV lot so its sitting on dirt.
TRying to get it up on stands so i can get a better look at it and hopefully take some pics.

Sounds to me you may have a 8 1/4..........Sounds familiar to me..LOL. I have a drive shaft from a auto to long. Because i found my rear end to be a 8 1/4 not a 7 1/4 which i thought i had:banghead:Pics will help.
