I am mostly concerend about relocating the battery to the trunk and using a 8 point cage. Is there still a Tech inspection for Test and tune? Or only if you are racing in a class? I will be putting an 8 point cage in and just want to know before I have it welded up in the inccorect spot. Would rather do it correctlty the first time.

I understand. Was just hoping for people who have been to the tracks to maybe chime in and see if tracks actually do. I know they say you HAVE to, but you know, maybe some dont? IDK. Just wanted to get an idea. Also I don't even know which tracks in So-Cal even have Test and tune anymore.

My guess is that some inspectors maybe more strict then others. Do it to the rule bopok and never worry about having an issue.

Irwindale on Thursday nights!

I thought it was closing??

Also do you guys know if there are any specifications for where each bar needs to be? I know the hoop needs to be 6in from the drivers head and 5in from top of roll bar to brace. And that chrome molly is tig welded and mild steel is mig. Is there anything else? Thanks!

You will need to go thru tech at Famoso for a T&T. If you move your battery to the trunk, it will need to be in a enclosed container, if not you will need to have a aluminum (or metal) fire wall in between the trunk and driver. As far as the 8 point cage. You are required to have it at 11.49 or faster I believe.
