Merlin's Acting Weird....

knock on wood they will be fine... maybe they got into a bees nest and got stung a few time. my chow chows did it all the time.

No bees nest thatI know of, but Maxi does like catching hornets... I can tell by the swollen lip she gets, lol. Half a benadryl and she's good to go.

Here in AZ we're "blessed" with a poisonous toad frog- when a dog licks them they act just like your description of Merlin. Don't know if the frogs are in your area-just a thought. Glad to hear the poop shooters are doing better!

Thanks Big Jim! Could be...all kinds of critters out here.

Any neighbors not like them? Im assuming hes the dog in your picture and if a neighbor was to have kicked him or something that might explain the no go on a rollover and they might have hit the other dog and its muzzle was still sensitive. It sounds crazy but that might be a possible reason for his pain and whinning plus no food or drink. If he still isnt eating or drinking give him gatorade. Thats what we do when our animals get parvo and have to get some electrolytes back in their system. Its like pediasure for your kids except for dogs lol

Zero issues with the neighbors and they all have dogs too, big and little. They are only out when I'm home so if that were to happen, I'd know and they'd have to be in the 6' gated yard. Outside of that fence, I'm there with them.

Great idea on the Gatorade! I'll stash that away for future reference.

Thank you!! :happy1:
I am so glad to see this post  I think I will enjoy a frosted mug :occasion:
Anything from a Grub/new born baby insect/mole getting played with to eat could have made him sick also this time of year........ even a new plant
Thank you for the great update. Wow she would not let you touch her face :tongue9::tongue9: and ran back to the house, I bet that did freak you out :shaking2:

Thanks Mike! I'm having a cold one in celebration too! Yeah, I think they just got into something bad, plant or animal. They are both up to date on their rabies/distemper/listeria shots, so I knew that wasn't it. Weird on the face thing huh? That totally threw me.

sounds like they got shocked.

Good call Pete, I worked crazy hours this week and Merlin WILL pee on the walls when I'm gone a long time. Not his fault, I just keep an eye out and clean it up when I find it.

It's very possible that he peed on an outlet and Maxi stuck her nose on it, sniffing around. Well, maybe that'll break that habit, lol.
