The All-Mopar Southern Nationals will run at South Georgia Motorsports Park on May 25-27.
AMCs and other “adopted” vehicles invited.
There will be drag racing, a swap meet and a weekend of fun for Mopar fans.
South Georgia Motorsports Park is located just off I-75 in Cecil, Georgia, about 20 miles northwest of Valdosta.

I've been there twice since it was moved from Reynolds to SGMSP and both times it was hotter than hell 106 and 105 degrees. They need to move it up a month.

Weather looking decent with little chance of rain in the long-range forcasts. I just hope they don't have to cut the payouts as bad as they did last year.

It'll be big fun, but I can't make it this year. Finances are just too tight.

Thinking about going at the last minute,,I can be there in about 5 hours.

How is the swap meet area?

$125 in gas and $25 admission cause it looks like they get you for Sunday, even if you only go Saturday.

Plus meals-

I better find my 66 Coronet fender!

Kind of looking for an under 5K driver as well (318 Duster, etc)- how's the car corral?

Well since I was in Ga. visiting my daughter I decided to make the 100 mile drive down to see what parts i could find. Not a good turnout as far as vendors, or race cars or fans for that matter. But was able to buy alot of parts some for the new race car. I picked up a new CRT 727 trans shield, A BG-400 fuel pump and filter, a new Sho-Gun BB water system with the AN fittings and lines, a pair of 15x3 Weld Draglites, 68 Dart tail light bezels. It was a good day to buy parts. I watched about 2 hrs of test and tune until the heat kicked my A$$. But just to show you that Mopar cars show up in the strangest places, the campground where we are staying we were riding around and in the storage section area I spot a 72 Charger. I noticed it was in nice shape and had a set of Rallies on it so I take a closer look and check the Vin, it is LH23M2B which is a BB 400 car. I'm going to the office tomorrow to see about buying it.

The owner/manager of that storage lot has no incentive to give your contact info to the owner of the car. If the car sells, they lose the income.

There was a 69 Barracuda down here like that. Slowly rusted away at $50 a month storge fee.
Lot manager would casually say "yeah I'll give him your number", and I could imagine him immediately tossing it in the garbage.

I'm sure you mean WH23M- That's cool, though.

I decided not to go, myself.
It looked like more of a racing event to me, and it sounds like I may have been correct.

I did drive out $90 worth of gas on a 300 mile 9.5 hour "drive in the country", to look at a 65 Barracuda, that ran great but had the typical early A body cowl rot.

I was also supposed to look at a Big block 67 Coronet 500 roller, but couldn't get hold of the guy.
Supposed to try again today, but still can't get him. It's a 1.75 hour drive up there, as well.
