SB Rods

273 and 67-70 318s are same. SOME 71-72 318s had the 496 rods, as found in 68-71 340s. All 73 up LAs used the 645 rods, as did all LA 360s and 72-73 340s. The 71-72 318s are a crapshoot. I have seen all three rod variations in the 71-72 318s, on virgin engines still containing their date coded bearings. Guess the factory was using whatever was handy, and the logic was "As long as they all match, use 'em." The early rods (number eludes me at the moment) and 496 rods were floating pins, and the 645s were pressed.
