So yeah. As said a few times before in this thread (myself included), get a set of sb chrysler headers for your barracuda and reflange them for a small block chevrolet.I'm no guru but yeah, it's pretty simple. I actually seen my old man (in a jam) take a pair of chevrolet hedders and reflange them for a W2 340 motor in a modified so he could go run the next night. They lasted for a couple of weekends until he got another set of correct tuned length W2 headers.

Should close this thread imo. I appreciate all racecars/cars but this is just wrong, it makes me cringe.I may lose sleep tonight..jkjk.To each their own I guess. This is almost like one of them "troll" threads or w/e seeing as the answer is plain as day...

So here is the way I would go. Find a clean Shevie product, pull the 350 out of the barracuda. Install it in the Shevie. Sell the Shevie. Find a nice SB Mopar and the tranny of your choice.Install them in the barracuda. Bolt on some nice TTIs. Get the barracuda running like it should. Go out and find that Shevie and blow it's doors off. Elementry:blob:

This is the best of both worlds. The Mopar "A" body cars can be bought reasonably cheap compared to Camaro/Nova cars. The Chevy engine is by far the cheapest engine you can put together on a budget. This could be a true 10sec. budget build. Don't lift the hood nobody would no the difference and you'd be a hero on a budget.:eek:ops:

I,ve seen a few bracket A,s with chebbie motors. Hey how about a new site? For bastards only. Just funnin. Hope ya find something that works. Just lock the hood and dont put traction bars on and nobody gonna know.

Sell/trade that Cuda for a Chevy roller,or trade/sell the Chev mill for a Mopar. If you gonna go Chev,st least make it a Rat.

Yet these Mopar folks will use GM R4 and 4R transmissions and Chevy pistons or piston rods and give you all a How-To without blinking an eye.

Talk about hypocrisy..

The engine is the soul of your ride if it wasn't why would people be paying millions for Hemi cars, and most parts that are call Chevy stuff are after market parts designed for a Chev type engine that we use cause of limited after market support like I want to use 6.3 rods in my engine, it's not a Chevy length just pin and bearing size and sure it was designed with a Chev application in mind but it really just a Scat rod. And I 2nd the mopar headers with Chev flange.

As for Chev being cheaper is a myth, part for part Chev is cheaper dollar per HP and reliability dodge wins. My cousin runs late model makes more hp for half the money and has gone three season without opening the engine once.

i just threw up in my mouth.
there is no clue here what these cars represent or one ounce of respect for them. im sure you could find a car that would match your headers

Looking for someone with info on headers for a 1968 barracuda with a small block chevrolet engine. any info would be appreciated! thx
Save money, time and expense by keeping it all MoPar not to mention that you'll save yourself a ton ridicule and being called a host of un-printable names.

I just heard this comment a few minutes ago still laughing " putting a chevy engine in a mopar is like glueing a ***** on a chicken "

Using the brakes to stop the car is way cheaper than blowing up the motor. Just saying.

I'm wondering if you could just drill the Cheb pattern into the flanges on Mo'headers that fit the chassis. They can't be too far off.

Sorry to say....I've seen one up close and personal :sign6: NOT MINE....LOL

A few years back,in the F.A.S.T classes, someone had small block La in a 96 Camaro.Blew through 2 rounds before kaboomo.

Which Mopar folks? A few, but not very many from what I read. Sure wouldn't do it myself.

I'm thinking Chevy 2 headers might work if you hack off the front clip and install a chevy 2 front clip. Don't they just bolt on?

Isaac, the transmission in my 64 has been there 22 years and its never been out of the car since. It was done by Dynamic trans and converters, it a 1962 BB 727 reverse manual and granted its been a pleasure and the absolute best trans I've ever had in an no clutch situation and to me its bulletproof. But there comes a time in life when you need an overdrive and the 518 just doesn't make it and that's where the 4R's come in.

I'm a 68 year old hot rodder with a hankering to go places, I have five vehicles, two of them are Signets, one Mercedes coupe', an early modified VW bug and a T56 / LT1 chebbie pick'm up which cruises at 90mph @ 2000rpm - 25+mpg and when my black 64 Signet can do that I'll be happy..

i can see several options here, some standard cheapy headers like hooker comps or flowtech 13100 for a smallblock mopar abody but there is a pretty big chance that they will interfere with the smallblock chevys sparkplug locations and you will have to cut the flanges of and weld on some chevy flanges and may have to wrestle alitle with the pipes since i think the pipes may have a slight diference in distance betwen each other. option two is if the car is a manual stearing car some hooker supercomps cant remember the partnumber put they may be the 5204 multi piece headers they may leave abit more space around the plugs if you have straight plug heads.once again you will have to cut of the flanges and weld on chevy flanges.
option 3 some hedman raceheaders for a W2 aplication you may get away with this and only have to fab up some diferent adaptorflanges.
option 4 some shorty camaro/chevelle headers not the regular blockhuggers i think the regular centerdump headers will give you alot of trouble with clearence around the steeringbox the mentioned chevelle/camaro shortys dump alot further back and will atleast fit your heads and work with the chevy sparkpluglocation may still get to close to steeringshaft.

but nothing is set in stone and i cant promise anything. just giving a few pointers as to what to look for the biggest obstacles using mopar abody headers would be sparkplugg location/starter location/oilfilterlocation wich is all diferent on a chevy engine

best option overall would be building something custom.

hope it helps alitle atleast.
