73' Dart Sport Demon

Just picked this up with my son over the weekend. It's a 73 Dodge Dart Sport badged as a Demon. VIN Decoder comes back as Dodge Dart Sport/Demon? could it be an odd bird 72 1/2? anyway, it has a great body and floor pans, interior is pretty good but am thinking about what to do with the console. It's so pitted and crusty don't know if a re-chrome would be good or not or to go with the carbon fiber look-a-like vinyl kits that come complete with the 3 piece dash kit and console inlay you can find on e-bay. What's everyone else done with there auto console?

All fastback 73-76 darts were considered Dart Sport models. The Demon was a 2 year only model. I have seen references to what you posted, but the truth is that the Demon name wasdropped after the last 72 model was built.
Aoto console? Some guys pull them apart and have the metal REchromed. Pretty pricey though.
 
If it isn't bad contact CudaChick1968. She does powder coating and she recently did one that came out great. If it isn't too bad she could probably help you out for a reasonable cost. Nice car. Keep the pics a coming.
 
Nice car. Larger pics would be good. Cudachick1968 does some exceptional work. It would be wise to contact her. What are your plans with the car?:coffee2:
 
I have seen 72 demons with a dart emblem on the trunk lid , did i not .Cannot understand why but i have seen these at shows and alot of them.

Thanks Corey! The one I restored WAS really bad and took about 55 labor hours to bring back to life. I haven't heard back from the owner as to whether or not he was happy with it.

Definitely not perfect ... but it's improved.

Not sure about the emblems, but the Demon is a Dart, as the Duster is a Valient. My Dart Sport had Demon emblems on it, when I bought it. Not from the factory though.
