Rob here's a link from. Org that is for degreeing a cam shaft at the bottom of the post there's a pic of them checking the lift with the dail indicator on the push rod side

This is the way I was planning on doing it I'm going to grab a different base for my inductor from work tonight and I'll try and get it sorted out
