Just curious what type valve cover gaskets you prefer. Do you prefer the cork, rubber or the thick black paper type felpro puts in their kits? And any reason for your preference. I prefer the cork type myself. I have had good luck with them over the years.

i have felpro rubber gaskets on my 360 and cork on my 318 and rubber felpros on the BBs they all work great . i put them on right out of the package with no sealer.

I never cared much for the rubber ones myself, have always preferred thick cork ones.

Those ribbed rubber coated metal ones you get in the MP gasket kits. They are bulletproof!

Tried the Fel- pro thick rubber, they leaked, (they dry out to fast). I use Fel- pro cork (thick ones) silicone to valve cvr..No leaks.. just my 2 cents....but I ain't tried them fancy ones yet...........

I use the cork ones and have no problems

I use felpro rubber with a smear of sealant to hold them in place. They work great!

I have used both cork and rubber with good results. IMO the valve cover rails being nice and straight, clean, and proper torque on the bolts are the most important issues.

very much my experience. if you over tighten stamped steel cover bolts, you are almost gauranteed a leak. ive never had an aluminum cover leak with any type of gasket.
