Multiple ip addresses are possible but most people don't use more than one internet provider and unless I'm wrong he would need more than one server for multiple ip addresses. I'm not a computer guru so if someone could verify if I'm right or wrong it might be of help.

You can ghost your IP by setting up to generate a "new" proxy address with every log on but you can't hide your MAC address as it's the physical address of you networking card or more specifically the chip on the card , unless you swap cards every time we figure out who you are and that could get to be way more expensive than it's worth real quick .

PS I'm sure some pimpley faced 13 year old in his moms basement could prove me wrong about hiding the MAC address but so far I haven't seen any talk of doing it successfully

I am not a pimply faced 13 year old in my parents basement but... There is really good software out there to hide or create your own MAC (Media Access Control) address.

I figured as much hence the caveat , I haven't spent any time looking lately but there is usually a way if you look hard enough eh lol

Thank you for the clarification Sir.......The most valuable lesson my Dad ever taught me was that something is only illegal if you get caught....

This dude almost got me back in Nov too.. I was going to buy some W2 heads and rockers from him for a smoking price.. we texted back and forth for a few days and then I asked Brian about him and he warned me about him being shady... so I told him I was out.. he bitched me out for backing out at the last min but from the looks of it I made the right choice.

Sounds like words coming from a cracked-head (pun intended)
I wondering what kind of habit ,he is trying to support?
Glad Brian steered you clear from a fraud.

:violent1: He needs to clean up his act. I hate getting ripped off or lied to.

I just found out a couple of days ago that my good friend who got ripped off from this Mark340. He tried calling about his parts, but as soon as this Mark guy got the money, he didn't return his calls or deliver on the parts he was selling. Guys, watchout for this guy!!!

Just a quick update on Marks340 scam exploits:

I have had contact w/the following abodiesonly members who have also been ripped off by Marks340:

illcuda65
moparrt69
68darthawaii
duster408
bentman
shobes

That is 6 that I know of and I am sure there are more... If you know of someone who has been hurt by the illegitimate actions of Marks340 please contact me!

-Personally I have never threated this man, left simple plain languaged messages and he continues to refuse to respond. He also refuses to respond to the California/Illinois states attorneys and Better Business Bureau.

I wanted to avoid hiring a lawyer as my funds are low, but that is unavoidable now. If anyone knows of a reputable california attorney please let me know. If anyone has any legal advice, PM me as well, it is much appreciated.

I want to make sure restitution is sought for all of us, but also to make sure that no one has to go through these types of issues in the future.

Thanks,

Illcuda65

well, the problem is, even if you win in court, and spend all that money on a lawyer, they will make him pay, but onlt a dollar a month for the rest of his life if he has no job on the books. it like trying to get water out of a stone.

wish you guys luck.

if anything, hope he gets some prison time

Pretty much nails it, a judgement is pretty much just *** wiping paper. When ever I read the sue sue sue chant it just brings a smile to my face. Partly because that is one of the reasons why so many things are so much frigging money anymore and partly because most judgements never get paid......

He and I did some trading last fall. I sent him some of the larger port 360-1 Indy heads and he was supposed to send me a 4-bolt main R block. He sent me a two bolt block, so I didn't get nothing, but when I asked him about it, he claimed I could always send it back. I knew that if I did that, I would end up with nothing.
