yes, i completly redid the duster from shell to 11k car in 2 months.

this car i will put money into it as i have extra. my hopes are to have the entire body done by the end of summer, and the suspension ,rear, dash, carpet, headliner, and seats in by spring of next year. but, you know how it goes, if i run into a little bit of money, ill run with it and get er done !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Joe, I'm so glad to see you found another project to tackle. I loved reading the Pinky thread and I can't wait to see you dive into this one too! As always, you've got your hands full, but I know it will turn out looking awesome in the end. Have fun and post lots of pics! Subscribed!!!!

thanks! i want to restore this one with the family, and that means it will take longer, as teaching the clan how to sand bondo will be no easy task lmao!

ok, found a little free time tonight, so i pulled the rally dash apart. this one was in decent shape minus one break directly under the radio. it is all gone now!

enjoy

i am thinking of keeping the dash black,(where it normally has thAt woodgrain look)

if you look at pic 11 and 12, i melted the plastic, and lifted the lenses out as heated, so that when i reinstall lenses, i have to just remelt the plastic righ back, like factory

What is the original color of the body? The fender tag is Purple but I don't see any Purple on the body any place not even under the rear package tray. Trunk floor and tubs look like they are blue and the under the trunk jamb drip rails look gold? Swinger emblems on the front fenders are 71 in 70 they are on the quarters. Just asking not looking for a pissing contest and I see there is a 71 rear bumper in the trailer.

like stated. this car has been been welded together out of like 3 or 4 parts cars. the roof is off a 71, the fulle floor, tubs hump over rear is all from a 72, half of cowl is from a 71 demon.................the list goes on. this car was rotted to death. if it was mine, i would of parted it. . guy i bought from bought it in 77 or 78, and gave up on it after a body guy charged him 17k in just metal work on the car. however, in my opinion, in all the work done, i can see where it all went!

It looks extremely solid now, All the hard stuff is done. Good luck on the build. Good things come slow and its worth it in the end.

ok, started to restore the orig. grille, but decided that it was in too good of shape for a nice looking driver, so i fixed all cracks without having to touch it with any repainting!. also did the rally dash glove box door trim, dash frame

hey Joe im not sure if you know or not but that grille is painted like a 71 style not a 70 just giving ya the heads up, and it looks like the pass side turn lens is a 70 piece and the driver side is a 71 subscribed

see, now i was wondering that. the marker lenses both have a date of 70, but the color looked wrong. can anyone post pics of the 70 and then 71 grille?
