LoL! I have been an audiophile for many years too! I have several trophies for DB drags here in Houston back when they were doing it at Delmar stadium. Had 4 12's in a 84 Dodge Daytona with 4 mids and 4 tweets that were all Kicker comps. All powered by 4 "American made" Linear amps pushing 6000 watts. 132 dbs! I love the "OLD SCHOOL" stuff that was made in the good ol USA!
Also installed 16 15" kickers in a Chevy Astro van with 8 Fosgate Power 1000's. Damn that thing was loud. Broke several windshields and storefront windows too!
Been there, done that! My ears are getting to old for that kinda stuff though. My Avalon has the old school MTX Thunder series 81000D bridged Mono to one Memphis 10" dvc in a dual bandpass box that I made from 7/8" MDF. Also have the matching Thunder 8302 for the Infinity Kappa mids and highs. Plenty loud for nearly 2000 watts. Talk about "Crystal Clear" sound quality!! I still dable a little in the installs now and then for friends.
