Auto Wecking Yard in Alberta "JACKPOT"

I hit pay dirt in the center of Alberta today. A place called Heavy Metal Auto Wreckers (www.heaveymetalautowreckers.com). Miles of Mopar Muscle & Trucks. The man to talk to is Tim Lynch (tim@heaveymetalautowreckers.com).

I found a couple of goodies for my 69 Val. I plan on going back to get in a full day scrounging. Nice thing is I did not see any snakes....LOL. As you can see I have a corn feild size grin.................a grin ear to ear...LOL. Check them out.

Should have seen it 15-20 yrs ago before it got picked over. Was a goldmine before the muscle car boom.
 
Spent 3 days out there last summer, not in a row. There was a 69 cuda out there, body was mint and complete on the first trip. Second trip the front half was gone. 3rd trip the roof.
 
Wish we still had yards like this in my area.:banghead:Gotta admit,you look kinda funny standing there with your hose in yer hand LOL:joker:
 
Tim's a great guy.
He came to look at my yard last year to buy everything and the transportation of all the cars and parts is what killed the deal.
I haven't been to his yard yet, some time this year i hope.
Dale Flatla in Tilley has an insane amount of good and rare Mopar stuff too, kind of pricey, but he has it. He's a great guy to talk to and deal with too.

Last time I went to Flatla I had to navigate past the 2 Emu to get out to the cars. I guess they were harmless :) Lets just say he wasn't giving anything away and a few of his cars weren't for sale. Things might have changed since then.
 
I guess sending crushed cars to china isn't as easy up in Canada. Good thing for Mopar lovers.

I spent all day at Dale Flatla's near Tilly. WOW! There must be over 4000 cars & trucks there and not one snake. But, watch were you step there is sheep **** everywhere....lol. They keep the grass low between the cars. Great idea. Dale & his two man crew at great. Bought a few Valiant goodies and his prices are great. He said he's not much for computer & prefers the phone.

Is there any good yards up near Adrei, Old, Beiseker or Drumhiller. I'm going through Drumhiller on 9 Eat to SK. Then South through Regina into the USA, ND, SD & Ndebraska, Iowa, Indy speed wat then Commercial Point OH for a few day then up to Niagra Falls to Toronto with the last stop in Tweed to see family. I have not plotted my return trip to the West Coast but, you can be sure Area 51 & Rosswell, NM are on the list.

Can you guys suggest and places to check out on the route. I am going to Minot AFB and the SAC musum in NA the straight East to Indy, and Wright Patterson feild.

Having WIFI at McDonals is great. I have a down link everywhere you can smell a McChicken....LOL. Maybe I cam meet some of you on the way.

Cheers, more junk yard updates coming. BTW I am going back to see Chris at Heavey Metal on the way Easy through Drumhiller.
