Body Dolly/Cart

Since I was stripping down this 76 Duster I thought it would be nice to have one of these, until I saw the prices. Around $400 plus another $100+ in shipping since they are so heavy. So I started looking a pictures of them until I found a design I liked. About $250 in materials then a few hours of cutting and welding......this is what I ended up with. Adjustable width from 24" to about 40" and length from 44" to 70". The casters are rated at 650 #'s each, so I think I'm good in that area.

Now I just need a good picture of an engine/suspension dolly so I can roll the engine/trans/suspension out from under the car as a complete assembly.

We used the 4-wheel one that was made by Dutch Bros. (I don't think they're in business anymore) on one of our club builds a couple of years ago. Worked really slick.

Thanks Slappy, I like to make things but don't always have the means to. So when it comes to things like this where I can have the equipment to make life a little easier and save some money, I do what I can.
