Here are some 70's matched sets of Ontario plates. You may be able to register these for your vehicles!! Looking for $20 a set. The 71 set is pretty cool!! I will sell to the US members, I would just like whomever buys a set to be able to register them to their car. Shipping on top.

Thanks

I bought them on Ebay....they are known as sample plates displayed
on the back wall of the MTO back in the day to show you what the
current plates looks like. They are a true stamping made in 1971
but are not legal to register. I run one on my front but my real plate
is on the back with proper sticker. Gets people to do a double take.

Does anyone know the cost to register these for a car? Same cost as personalized plates?

Riddler

$235 to register them and you must pay the full $75 a year for the sticker. Historic program does not apply.

You need first find out if the plate number is valid for use. The 75s are... you need to send the plates and your ownership to the ministry with the $235 and they send you a letter giving you the ok to register them.

Here is a useful site. Explains the whole deal. I just cant justify having $300+ tied up in my plates.....
