I'm at that point (Head job vs New Motor)

Having the heads milled offset the intake bolt holes too much and now going to get the intake milled to fit. Anyone have experience with doing that?

Yes, mine was way out as the deck had been milled and I'm using offset head dowels so the head bolts line up properly. I fitted the intake without gaskets and that slightly over-corrected the problem. They were .060" gaskets so I had the intake milled .050", which lined up the ports perfectly.

The only issue for the machinist is getting the intake level before the first cut as the carb pad being angled doesn't help.
