Recommendations for a car stereo set-up?

Does your package tray have slits cut in it to let the sound pass through. If not, it will sound like a stereo playing in your trunk.

I have never understood why people like the original poster are afraid of cutting their dash or package tray?!? Is it so when your car goes across the block at Barret Jackson you can claim that it is all un-molested? Really?!? Cut that sucker and enjoy YOUR car instead of saving the dash for the next owner. :banghead:
