Recommendations for a car stereo set-up?

I have never understood why people like the original poster are afraid of cutting their dash or package tray?!? Is it so when your car goes across the block at Barret Jackson you can claim that it is all un-molested? Really?!? Cut that sucker and enjoy YOUR car instead of saving the dash for the next owner. :banghead:

I have given the sound aspects some thought. If it sounds really bad I will cut the tray. I traced it out from inside the trunk. My hidden amplified antenna arrived today. I installed it under the dash where the single speaker grill is located, worked like a charm. And, per instructions, it must have some opening outside of a steel covering. I will find out if this works when the Pioneer deck comes in tomorrow.
