My brother told me the same thing, he has a 67 Firebird with a 455. I have a very quiet slant 6. I am sure I would feel different if I had a big v-8. My brother is trying to encourage me to sell my /6 car to use the money toward a v-8 car. I could make a profit on the car since 90% of the work was done by myself, and I picked up the car with a fairly new paint job for a really low price. The previous owner gave up because of the extensive mechanical work that needed to be done.
