HID Headlight conversion

i drive the back 40 of colorado springs at night. the roads are pitch black, long and twisty. those factory replacement halogen bulbs are not anywhere near adequate when you have every creature you can think of jumping out in front of your car. i will take my chances with those garbage HID headlights so im not out there running over people or animals. i prefer to actually see where i am going in the hills. its not that i like them because i think they are "cool" . i am 44 years old, the cars are "cool", not the lighting. i "like" them because i can see 5 times farther than the factory stuff.

i know that some folks arent even allowed to drive at night

First of all, I am with 73AbodEE, I just plain want, no actually change that to... NEED to see at night and all the critters! I have had HID's in the last 2 of my trucks and will say yet again WILL NOT have anything else (illegal or morally wrong, really don't care...I am a former lawman and don't give a hoot either). My HID's have saved me, a minimum of 10 times, from wiping out a critter and my truck.

I put anywhere from 60,000 to 90,000 KM on roads in the middle of nowhere with anything from a coyote, deer, moose, etc roaming around and probably 2/3rd's of that driving is night time. I have tried almost every bulb out there & the only ones that really make a difference is Nighthawks, but the HID's put them to shame with at least 3 times more light.

I just wanted to know if anyone had any fitment problems or otherwise, not start or re-kindle a multinational lighting argument.
My end game is to have an extremely bright light for the few times I will have the Duster out after dark, booze cruizin'!!! <---(J/K) LOL

slantsixdan - you have some viable options in your post: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showpost.php?p=807382&postcount=9

......but if they fail to provide a really bright light, HID's it will be! hehe
