I live out in the woods as well. I have an 02 Cheby that I have 4 Hella's on the front of it as well as having the low beams wired to stay on with the high beams.
I don't have a problem with your truck as long as you have the lights off the moment you see oncoming lights. Those things will blind oncoming long before their headlights have any effect on your vision.
