Mopar 400 2bbl

Great little 400 Engine there !
Always GREAT to see what can be done with a little efort !
Kinda makes a case as to the "why" or "why-nots" for the street, when some guys just want a respectable "driver" style engine on the cheap ?

We did something similar for a "resto" 383 type build for a guy awhile back using the 516's....
Completely el cheapo parts all supplied in the "rebuilder" kit
Stock Cast Pistons, cast Rings, 516 Heads @ 2.08" with the 1.74" exhaust added, etc., etc.
with the addition of
* ARP Rod Bolts
* 274H CompCams Hydraulic Cam
* Crane Rockers & a Torker 383 Intake

yep, it had Headers installed for the Dyno test.....but at 9.2;1 C.R. it idled great on regular unleaded, wasn't eating much air really, and he was pretty happy with the result for a "driver" type deal.
430hp & 444 Trq.
