How to keep CB magnet mount from scratchin paint?

If you just use them to communicate on road trips get one of the cheap hand held ones. They work well and you don't need antennaes (?) and such. Plus if you are at a show or cruise you can keep it in your pocket and still communicate with others you are sepparated from.
