It may sound like someone is coming on here sounding like an expert of the Southern Rockies or some stuff like that, but it is not my intention. It just so happens I make my living that includes geography. Last time I looked, Nebraska and Kansas were not in any kind of the Rocky Mountain Region but were in the mid-west and plains states. I'm just sayin. Anyhow, New Mexico and northern Arizona not only are in the Southwest Region, but also are on the southern tip of the Rocky Mountains, and included in the Southern Rockies. Just wanted to watch this board and see what folks are up to in Colorado and other areas of this region. Oh yes, last time I looked and lived there, Wyoming was part of the northern rockies.

Just keepin it real

I have to agree that our Regional Boards' maps were a bit crack induced. It took me awhile to even find Tennessee (not listed on any of the headings).

Same here, I could not find mine at first.

memike....U should be included in ALL the regions my friend :D

On a side note, plefe has kindly offered to share his geography talents with us. Maybe we can get the "Regional Boards" straightened out

The whole Regional Boards forum is a mess and seldomly used because they are hard to figure out where every state fits in. When I first came on Oklahoma wasn't mentioned anywhere and when I asked it was added with the South Centeral Region. Every region should have the state that region includes as the #1 sticky in that thread.

South Central Region
Board for the states of Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisana.

Why wouldn't Arkansas be included with the South Centeral Region. It is due north of Louisana and straight east of Oklahoma. To me Kansas and Missouri should be also with the South Central Region. The regions should form some type of a square or rectangle using state lines. I realize the states in the north eastern part of the US would be hard to make any shape out of.

This topic make me think of the history channels show how the states got their shape.

Oh I know. Not flirting, just making a general statement. She's a good hearted person, and I have my own sweet Mopar woman.

Awwwwwwww thank you plefe! :-D No worries Johnny ... a little flirt never hurt. < wink >

Thanks, too, for jumping on the bandwagon and getting the Regional Boards organized. This might be a start to little sub-FABOs all over the country!

The Regional Boards would be a great tool for swap meets, car shows, car clubs and get together announcements that are in the area. I would think that is why they were created in the beginning but like so many things in normal life, other things were more pressing so they were put on the back burner. The mods have plenty to do and with this site growing so fast I bet it gets over whelming for them at times. I appreciate the time the mods dedicate to this site.

and the members rarely use them..... Dont forget that part... But yes, we havent paid much attention to them, primarily because they arent used much and other things have been more important.

You have to blame what ever site I copied and pasted them off of 8 years ago. Im way to lazy to look all that info up.
