FYI there is a .060" difference in depth between a 727 transmission and the RFE545 that comes behind the modern hemi.
Some 727 will bolt up just fine, while other require shim or spacer between the bell-housing and block. To bolt up a A833 you simply trim the end of the input shaft slightly. A number of companies sell a version of the spacer.
