More compression worth the cost?

not snapping at anyone. the comment had no substance what so ever. it was a snide remark with no constructive qualities. i was asking the question to better my combination. i came to this board to hopefully build on my knowlege. this is my first build on my own and just trying to learn from my mistakes. if the cam is garbage thats fine. i would just like to know why.

then read my post... below

with 145 ish posts you should try not to burn bridges... unlike me most people arn't on here 4 times a day every day lol... so they might ot get back to you right away...

but the problem is with more cam (higher duration and a lower LSA) is that it has higher overlap... now over lap allows compression bleed off at lower rpms... so you have 8.5-9:1 comp STATIC... so with a 294 ADV duration, probably like 250ish @ .050, your losing alot of compression...

if it were me i would run it and see what it does... then either do a cam swap, run the numbers and figure out what is needed to get your DYNAMIC compression up to around 8.2 or so... then you can run 91 pump and get the most out of your combo for the time being...
