Are there any 235/60-14 tires I can buy that give decent traction ?

Depending how hard you hit them with the converter
i'm sure you could turn them a little. Probably would recover pretty quick though. In my experience once the regular T/As get goin there very hard to get back. With that said, it's a pretty good chunk of change to find out. Maybe a reasonable size 15" would be better in the long run, especially if you decide to up the power sometime?

Stock converter , plus I don't gas brake at the line , only one working leg and arm , I just hit the pedal . I also leave it in drive , so am missing a bit of the power from 5200- 6500 . Just tired of going sideways down the first 1/4 of the track . I look for the 215.s locally and pick up a set , they have to be an improvement . Next I have to get some kind of paddle shifter , I'm sure i'm losing 3-4 tenths leaving it in drive
