I really appreciate all the help guys, but cost of shipping on top of purchase price takes it out of affordability. I just got a PM from a member thats only about 135 miles from me. Thats doable. :-)
Freight is a killer. You do know about the crankshaft bore being smaller on the 273 for where the snout of the tourque convertor goes in. I know this is correct for the 1967 and back 273s.
