Hi all found this place while lurking around for A body parts. I just purchased a 71 Swinger which was an original 318 car. It now has a 340-727 auto. It's pretty solid and I am weighing my options on what to do with it and this place looks like a great resource. It is my first Mopar since 1986 when I had a '73 Cuda 340 which is probably worth 20 times more now than what I sold it for :sad7:

Here is a phone pic of the car it's a bit crappy I am going up north to get the car this weekend and will post some better pics.

Also here is a short walk around vid sorry not great video

I am looking at maybe doing a turbo 340 car but still really undecided. There are so many options to think about.

Anyway glad to be here.

This forum and members are an awesome resource for info on a bodies!

Welcome ! We'll be waiting to see what you decide to do with your Dart . Looks like a great driver as-is.

Welcome to FABO! Nice Dart!

Welcome to FABO powerslide, alway's nice to have another Albertan join our little club. Nice looking 71 Dart you found, I hope your able to bring it out to the big Mopars at the Mall car show (http://www.centralalbertamopar.ca/about.htm) (Bower Mall) in Red Deer on Aug 25 so we can check it out. There should be a some great Darts at the Show including hopefully several of the rare 71 & 72 Dart Swinger 340 Specials that have been restored. If you go keep an eye out for FABO T-Shirts you might see a few members.

Thanks for the welcome to everyone.

I see you have a 340 Special Canuck are you bringing it to that event? Would like to see it, wish mine was a Special. I would like to attend that event, hopefully I will see you there.

There is a bit of a story behind the car, as I am sure there are a lot of stories behind most.

My dad passed away in February, he had some property on the shores of Lesser Slave Lake. As the Executor I was delegated to sell the property. The guy that's buying the property had this sitting in a shop 4 houses down from my dads. He is getting a fair deal on the property, in return he offered me a deal on the car I just couldn't pass up. The rest is history, I suppose.

Welcome to FABO. Very nice Dart, I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide to do with it. Again Welcome aboard.

Welcome to FABO we love abody's here and I love those Dart's, real nice looking. Plenty of info here on single, Twin turbo-ing to about anything else you want to do. :)

Welcome again.

Sorry to hear of your Dads passing, yeh like you say there's a story behind all our cars. When I stumbled on FABO last fall looking for info I joined up and posted a bit of my cars story which would probably be easier ( page 6 on Welcome Wagon called "Canadian Dart") for you to check out. My car won't be there but yours looks pretty nice I think you should take it to the show if you can. "scatpacker - Kevin" has a yellow 72 Special like mine that's completely restored and he plans on taking his to the show, maybe will run into each other,
Cheers, Dan

Welcome to FABO!
