Air gap or performer rpm??

Twice in one day you all have saved me from making a mistake. I was going to go with the Edelbrock Performer, AFB, over the Thunder, AVS and read enough on this forum to change my mind. Same with the intake as well. Saved me a bunch of money down the road too when I can finally get all the pieces together. I appreciate the fact that you all answer with patience questions people probably have posted many times. I am now inspired to start thinking about my 10 year old son's first car in fivish years.
