I was visiting a Hobby Lobby in Independence Missouri, part of the I-70 Bass Pro complex (a good place to go if you like stuff that is marked up really high) and visited a Hobby Lobby. They had a section of shelves set up for nostalgia signs, nick nacks, and tourist items for automobiles. All made in China. They also had a specific section for Chevrolet and for Ford but none for Chrysler. I plan to contact their corporate office and ask why. It was kind of like leafing through some performance catalogues lately and wondering if they carry anything for Mopars.

That's funny. My wife got one of those nostalgic metal signs there about two months ago and they were all on clearance. I don't know if it was only the Mopar stuff, but she said they had a bunch of different Mopar ones.

Hobby Lobby had a few Mopar metal signs but the one in the Bass Pro complex off I-70 had two specific displays of additional items, one for Chevy and one for Ford.

I clicked on the email and brought it to their attention. It was actually my brother visiting from back east that caught it. He's a big Mopar guy too.

I noticed that also.
they do have a couple of signs, but that's really about it. They have a goob of ford & chevy crap, mostly corvette & mustang stuff.
Not sure, but it probably has a lot to do with licensing and trademarks. Mopar always has been funny about that. But hey, give em hell, I'd loved to see more stuff with Mopar on it in their man-cave area.

That's because the mopa stuff gets bought quickly.

I have seen plenty of really cool mopar model cars there .

The last cool one I saw was a drag race hemi dart.

My Hobby Lobby has Mopar signs. So does Menards. tmm

Supply vs Demand :dontknow:

Demand being the big one there. Like it or not there's simply not the major demand for Mopar items like the bow tie or oval stuff all you have to do is look at aftermarket support to see that.

I was at HL yesterday, they had a ton of vintage car metal signs for 50% off. Took a while but I found a small tiny section with some Mopar stuff. I bought what I could.

Does this surprise anyone that there's a bunch of Corvette, Chevy, Ford stuff but little or no Mopar? I've been living this my whole Mopar life. I remember when Walgreens had a car parts section and you could get tuneup parts for Ford or Chevy but not Mopar. LOL. Who cares? Walgreens? Come on :)

The way I see it now is we have our own restoration show on Velocity :)

It's not surprising, it's just history repeating itself...

Just think about it Bass Pro complex. How many Mopars in the parking lot?
Sorry I may be stereotyping a little. Don't most of the guys that go there drive fords and chevys or the Mopar guys came and bought them all out.

The Hobby Lobby here has Mopars signs too. I've gotten some there.
They do have more ford and chevy stuff.

Mopar isn't to free giving out permission for use of there name either.

what are you, new here?

everyone knows that production cost on a mopar are the same as the production cost on a ford and chevy item combined

as a result, these signs end up being to expensive for hobby lobby
(its also why you never see them at wally world)

That's what you get for hanging out in independence. I'm surprised they didn't steal your car while you were shopping. Got a meth problem you need to share with us?

Why would they stock Mopar? I bought a Super Bee magnet at that very location, so I know they have it, and everything at Slobby Knobby is made in China garbage, but the fact is, you're almost as well off asking for a Fiat or Mercedes section.

****, even Dodge dealers don't sell Mopar anymore.

Hobby Lobby, and everyone else.

You're just now noticing?

Even some Mopar guys snub Mopars.

It's crazy.
