Squeak, squeak, squeak as brakes are applied on 66 cuda. All new brakes, drums & wheel cylinders. Brakes are good but irratating squeak. Brakes were taken apart awhile back but couldn't see any evidence of any rubbing surfaces like I expected to see. Any ideas????

Did you apply grease to the backing plate where the metal on the shoes rub? There should be 3 points for each shoe that need a dab of grease.

Sounds like you might have a drum that is out of round. Put it on jack stands and have someone sit in it and lightly apply the brakes while you rotate each wheel.

Even though you said you have new drums, they could still be out of round especially if you are running custom rims. Take each wheel off and with a straightedge, check to see if the balance weight on the drum are higher than the mating surface of drum and wheel. If so that could be your problem. When the wheel is torqued down, if it's not seating flat on the mating surface it can push the drum out of shape. Grind the weights until the are flush or a little lower than the surface and see if that solves your issue.
