I'm installing a Manual Valve body in my 904 and it's telling me to remove the governor valves if transmission is out of the car. I have no idea where these are or what they look like. Any pics or can someone tell me where they are?
Thanks.

You have to remove the tailshaft extension housing and they are located in the governor housing that's attached to the tailshaft. It's all held together by a couple snap rings. I doubt it's necessary to remove them for it to work right.

you can leave the governor on even with a manual valve body..just will have no effect on shifting..

Ok,thanks for the replies>. I'll just leave them in. Thanks!
