3.91's in the 67, and 456's in the 68, both have 28 in tall tires......67 's a 4 speed, and the 68 has a RTC 3500-4200 stall...loves to break um loose, actually, both like to break them loose,

Do you like the mini spool on the street??

I hear so many that tell me to not run a spool on the street??

If you have good sticky tires, coasting and turning into a parking spot, your car may actually stop (because your axles are winding up like a spring) and actually start backing up. Mine did that when I first put my powerlock in ( I played around with the clutch pack and had it way too tight!)

3.91 coner with the V8. Peg leg 2.93's with the snailed 6. Doing the swap right now...

4.10 sure grip - 489 case - 26" tall tire....I ain't gettin' any highways anytime soon!

Now its the end of the season and my 3.91's with 26.80 spec tires seems to be happy going 62--63 mph. Its in the low 3000 rpm range, 3250 or so. Its happy at 4,000 rpm too going mid 70's but 3250 it seems to be peaceful and content, like it could run for hours on end.

I decided not to change gears, might go with a 28 tire next season, about it. And its going on a few long road trips next summer. If I have to go 65 mph oh well, you still get there. It could do 80 but burn lots of fuel.

Driving around town everyday its gear perfect, saved me from a ticket today....freaken late turn on red drivers in those 55 zones, so I go around 2 jerks part throttle, think I touched 70 but shifted in to 3rd and started coasting..seen a cop car on my far left. Looked down and I was going now 63 in that 55 zone. I was like oh no. Sure enough cop got behind me at the next red light. Once moving I went to the right lane to get ready for the traffic stop, cop past me on my left..cool.

If I had those 3.23 gears, car would not had moved as smooth and slow down as good at those speeds. I would had been doing 70 plus and cop would had stop me for sure.

Those 3.91 gears have saved me from a few tickets, car slows down pretty quick at 70 when you let up the gas--unlike these new cars

Running 3.55 in my 1974 Dart Swinger with a 360 backed by a 727.
Running 3.23 in my Dads 1968 Charger R/T with 440 backed by a 727.

3.91s in the Duster with a 27.5" tire 340/727 3.55s in the Swinger with a 25" tire 340/4spd. Swinger is a good all around car street/strip and the duster is a little to low geared for long hauls. Swinger runs 2800 RPM @ 60 and the Duster is closer to 4000 RPM @ 60 but keep in mind Duster has a 3500 stall so that probably effects my RPMs

3.23's for street and 4.88's strip. 28" tall tire. 340/727 8" 4400 converter

Busted a toof off my 4.30's, so now I'm running 3.91's. Loved the 4.30's even on backroad highways. Trying to roll down the interstate was rough though. Of course, I had 28" tires on at the time, which helps. And no converter slip to deal with.

I screwed the pooch on this one, with 3.91 and 10 percent converter(3000 stall) slippage (which I Forgot about) and 25.1 inch tire I will be crossing the quarter at about 6350 and I have a 360 magnum with a stock bottom end but with Hughes valve springs . I was planning on keeping the motor to 6000, It sounds like I will need to burn this set of tires off quickly so I can get some 27 inch tires or so. LOL

I kind of wish it had 4.30's or 4.10's vs 3.91's

2nd gear be more fun with 4.30's but yeah 75 mph would be screaming, those 3.91's are still up there but livable

If you can drive 55 on long hauls then OK

running 3.73's in my 71 twister. i'm lovin it! built small block backed by a 727. its great out the hole and easy on a cruise. it still gets good mpg on the street.

3:91's & a 4 gear behind my 340. Had 3:55's in it for 1 season & stepped it up. Only thing is the 5 hour drive yearly to Moparfest gets costly.

Not enough options for me. 3.23's for the street. Have a 4.30 spool for when
I go racing the coming spring. Hope to be deeper in the 12's.
Been sense 2009. No one is going to stop me!
