i got a 68 barracuda fastback, i am unsure if i should buy some cragars or some dog dish (hubcaps with body colored steel rims)....any opinions?

Your wheel choice is will be limited to your bolt pattern. Body-colored wheels with dog dishes and redlines look the best to me. But as you can see, I do like a nice set of Cragars.

If you have a bright colored car, you might go with the dog dishes. Cragars give your car a vintage muscle look.. Either would probably look good.

If you want the hot rod look a set of steel painted black on the back and mags on the front. I prefer dog dish all around myself.

round rims. The look of square rims are not very good for ride comfort :violent1:

I love the steel rims with dog dish caps. But i do like the cragar rims too and sometimes a ralley rim :-k

I like both options... but I have always had a "thing" for Cragar's! I kind of think most 5 spoke classic-style rims are just trying to be Cragar's!! (JMO)

I always thought the SS copied the Torq thrust appearance.
I prefer the Torq Thrusts, even if they are played out atm, with all the look-a-likes.

15" Steelies (body color) Plymouth Division dog dishes. TA Radial white letter out.

the absolute best IMO are the american torque thrust D's. cant ever go wrong with those on any car...

I thought one of the vendors here, had a good deal on T/Q lookalikes.I do believe,5 by 4 was an option.

Never been a fan of Cragars but my buddy liked them saying that they look good as a period correct wheel on 60s and 70s era muscle cars....that was until he noticed about half of the cars at the Mopar Nationals this year were wearing them. So after 2 days of seeing them everywhere he doesn't care for them anymore either. I have always liked the body colored steelies and dog dish caps myself. (just don't look at my Duster)

For the B5 blue in the photo, I'd prefer a set of rallye wheels with T/As, letters out. Use the 70 (bright) wheel center.

The Cragars look good, but they seem pretty common as aftermarket wheels go. For something different, check out Ansen Sprint wheels. They were made in a Mopar SBP. They turn up on eBay or CL from time to time. American Racing still makes the center caps and lugs, but no longer makes a SBP wheel according to their website.

I have American Racing "Centerline" style aluminum wheels on the 67' Dart in the 4 inch bolt pattern. Two weeks ago I had Jegg's try to find new center caps for me. He actually called Am. Racing direct and they said the center cap is no longer made in the 4 inch size. Which sucks because mine are peeling and look crappy.

Hmm, what about a "spider cap'?

Might not be perfect, but possibly cover the axle/spindle center?

Just push it thru from the back side of the rim?
