The dart is a small economy car sadly they used a musclecar name for a non-musclecar... I happen to have an old dart and I'm only 12
btw I'm putting a 383 mated to a 727 in it this winter should be a 450hp engine!
The truth of it is, the original intent for the Dart was not muscle car.. it was cheap transportation.. thats why the Dart was the cheapest (and lowest) in the Dodge line.. What wound up working in its favor is the fact that it was the era of the muscle car.. it was compact (for the day) and light... put a big motor in a light car, you have fast and all kinds of fun... but that was then and this is now.. times are differant, insurance rates are differant, fuel prices are way differant... in short, everythings differant.. despite the 'retros' from the big 3, there is no muscle car era or war going on like back in the day... so the Dart is once again, cheaper, fuel efficient, compact, transportation... you just cant 'retro' everything.. wouldnt sell enough to make it worth it
