I hate the new Dodge Dart

I like the new dart and it's about time they re introduced a car in the market to go heads up with the Ford Focus. I think they will sell a lot of 'em.....they better.
Remember when the slant six was introduced?
It was cutting edge technology for the time, and the wave of the future for 6 cylinders.
Like it or not, the new Dart is here to stay, at least it goes back to it's roots like the new Challenger does. Cheap reliable transportation is what the new Dart is and nothing more. A throw away car just like the original. The new Challenger is a sporty looking cheap car. I wish i could say that about the new Charger, but it is a decent car too, i know a few people that own them and they like them.
Why are people afraid of new technology?
The cars built today are better, safer, better fuel economy, handle and brake better, more comfortable, and cheaper than the old ones.
People whined about the new technology in the '60s and '70s too, with the new fangled electronic ignition, radial tires, disc brakes, pcv valves, and automatic chokes.
My Dad was one of them, and i heard constant belly acheing from him until he drove a new '70 340 4 speed Swinger. He couldn't believe the power and handling it had compared to his 429 cubic inch '66 Cadillac. He almost bought it, but he couldn't get the deal he wanted. He still didn't like the ''pollution crap'' on the Swinger, but at least it had points ignition and bias ply tires on it.
So there you go, old school versus new school and somewhere in between.
I remember the base slant 6 a-bodies of the '70s being cheap affordable transportation with lousy 9'' brakes and no power. They had lousy uncomfortable seats, and crappy heaters.
The new Dart today even if it's an Alfa Romeo knock off is MILES ahead of the old base Darts even in it's base form.
Compare what a dollar bought you in say 1967, the price would be about the same.
I love the older styling of the '60s and '70s cars, and that's why i stick with them, but comparing them with the new cars is unrealistic.
I might buy one and trade my '07 Focus in on it when the R/T becomes available. That should be roughly like the Swinger 340 of old.
