Carbon Fiber Front End Parts

well i can tell you we just got a car in and it has those parts in the boxes...

they are very light! very strong! and dose not deflect like glass can, though will see how it does with the heat from mud, if we even have to...

everything is really straight as well...

what car did you get them for?

can you post some pics of them when you unwrap the goodies?

You just gave me a woody!
I've been wondering for quite some time when we would see this.
The glass that's been out there forever is mostly mediocre quality at best.
I see some real high quality carbon for bikes and "other" cars that is both superlight AND durable and sometimes think "when are these old school guys with the molds for our stuff going to learn some new tricks?".
Particularly with epoxy resins instead of polyester, you can bump these things without breakage!
Ever see "Sharkskinz" motorcycle bodywork?
You can hit that **** with a hammer and won't break it!
I'm a tightwad, but I'd very seriously condsider a durable flyweight front-end for my car...

I would like to see a set of fenders for a 1965 valiant/64-65 barracuda. They all rotted out the top in the same place and are not easy to find in good shape. It would be a good replacement panel. The last time I saw 1 pop up on ebay it was around $700 for undented and no rust.
 
Would like to see something for early Dusters. Cant find any steel fenders for reasonable prices.
 
POST PICS!!! I am curious the fit and finish and WILL pick up a set if the fitment is good. Sure wish my hood was carbon. Do they include headlight buckets? Any idea cost?

yes they do come with the full head light bucket area... even the extra brace on the back side of the fenders near the door...
 
2 years ago I got a price to custom make carbon fiber fenders and hood for a Dart. The price was $6800. I am very curious about these prices.
