Very sweet driver. Bought in Santa Monica, CA from Hollywood exec in 2006. Garaged since and driven very seldom. New points. Runs and drives great. True mileage unknown but it's a very tight Mopar. Color is orig Gunmetal Grey Metallic, and the tops have typical california sunfade. everything works as should, including elect top. Seats redone nicely, and real wood wheel (I have orig). Has Vintage Air. CD player/tuner is hidden behind glove box door. No antenna, but I just play CDs. Orig /6 car, but converted long ago using V8 k frame and 360 motor w/Edelbrock 600 carb and true dual exhaust behind manifolds. Motor seems stock-mild as opposed to really worked, but sounds great with slightly lumpy idle and pulls strong. Open rear w/unk gears. Car is quite straight and basically rust free by East coast standards. Frame rails and floors are solid. Have fender tag, and old receipts showing prior owner spent almost $10k on maintaining and enhancing the car, including an engine rebuild. 4 drums w/aftermarket front swaybar. Console shifted 904 trans.

Known issues: the trans has a leak which I believe based on wiping eveything dry then observing is one/more of the various lower gaskets/rings as opposed to the front main seal; sometimes car requires additional cranking when restarting when hot as opposed to cold (I was planning to convert to electronic ignition which I think may cure this-I will include an elect recurved distributor); very lower 1/4s do have some rust. Has basic wear and tear expected of a car this age. $7,500 obo. PA clear antique title in my name. Prefer local deal but no problem selling long distance, with buyer paying all related expenses. Hate to say this, but please be serious and have the funds and "permission" to buy before calling. Thanks!

tried pic upload but apparently too big.

not bad looking... that a 64 grille in it?

and what the hell is that bullet thing in the center of the grille?

thanks oldscoolcuda for posting the pics...it does kinda look mauve, but it's grey looking in person and in the photobucket pics.

never knew bout the 64 grille, but always liked the bullet; reminded me of the 50's cars or even the Tucker car.

thanks for the positive comments! Whoever buys it should be pretty pleased.

thanks! a local guy appears to be interested...we shall see. I'll never forget driving it from LA to San Diego the night I bought it. A lil nerve racking but she made it no problem.

...still for sale, local guy never called. anyone? the car could not be built for this price. motor and trans $2,500, clean vert body $2,500, vintage air $1,200 etc.

That is so Freakin Cool, I am selling parts and counting my $ in the black velvet whiskey tins from the 70's, never know how much $ is in them, if I come close I will be Pm you.

thanks a lot. when I bought it I wasn't loooking for an early a body, but was just "browsing." I already had a 65 cuda, a 69 vert cuda with a strong x-headed 340, but which was a rusty and rough car, plus a 72 bcuda. this car was just too clean and cool to pass up so i had it shipped back east. it made it much easier to sell my only (at the time) vert mopar, which of course took me 4 years to do...man that x-headed 340 would scream...this car is not as fast, but it pulls pretty good and has a very nice ride to it. very few bystanders knew what my 69 was, but basically no one knows what this is when i drive it, and it gets plenty of looks.

i have been asked whether the cam is hydraulic or solid. It must be hyd. since i never heard any lifter noise, plus i've never had to adjust anything. i've never had the valve covers off.

thanks to you too, oldschoolcuda, for your monitoring.

No problem. Mods deleted important info. & absolutely do not like stealth way it happened but can understand why. This is about sale of your valiant and members interested in it not a misinformed blowhard.

Again good luck with your sale.
