I have a full color Barracuda/Challenger book. I saw a similar Dart/Valiant book a couple of months ago on Amazon and finally got around to ordering it last week. Well, I almost did. Used it was $39 dollars and up. New? $109 bucks! Yes, I understand a book in high demand and out of print is going to cost more. But they are selling new ones so maybe it's still in print? Why is this book so expensive? I bought the black and white Dart book that's made up of road tests and articles instead. Not the best quality in reproduced pictures.

I've been noticing the prices myself, places like Barnes and Noble barely carry any transportation books at the stores anymore. Back about 15 years ago I began buying all the muscle car books and alot were orginal hardcover, I put them all in boxes, I guess i'll keep them !

Yes, don't let anything happen to them. I suppose because Chrysler was number 3 way behind GM/Ford our cars are rarer and becoming more costly (I recently looked at prices for restored 67-69 Darts, wow) but the books too?

Which book was it? Link?

Many times, those Amazon out of print book prices aren't market competitive. Search other sources.

If it was the Paul Herd restoration book, it's full of inaccurate info and basically garbage.
