Checking in, and soon to be 69 (october). Yeah I;m an ole fart. My first mopar was a 47 Desoto, "fluid drive", that my uncle gave me. It sat thru a flood, and he told me if I could get it started, I could have it. Well I worked hard on getting it started, and he gave it to me. Been playing with cars ever since. Now I'm retired, and working for cash, at a freinds garage/tow shop. I woudn't know what to do if I wasn't around cars.

My fist Mopar was my 3rd or 4th car, I was wheeling and dealing even back then. The guy who took me under his wing and gave me my first job turning wrenches at night (16) owned a 69 440 r/t charger that was the baddest car around. He hooked me up with a 1970 340 duster black, white high back buckets, rally dash, 4spd and a 391 posi. I paid 900 dollars(1977) because the guy was in a bind. Drove that car into my senior year while I was building a tunnel ram 440 that I was determine to put in the duster. Otto convinced me not to cut the car up and we found a 70 road runner. That car paid for my oldest son to be born. Otto used to tell me about the day he took delivery of the charger and left the dealership sideways. When I got back to my car instead of customer cars and purchased my SRT8 that is how I left the delaership which got me crappy phone car from the dealer. I hope my Valiant turns out as well as I see it in my mind. My wife says she has a great family with 5 boys instead of 4 but oh well. Tom

I'm in the older crowd but have been a Mopar guy since I was 16 when I was, well, in the younger crowd. My first Mopar was at age 19 and was my first car: 1963 Plymouth Valiant 4 door slant six push button auto. I'd give almost anything to have that car back. Since then, 66 Valiant 273, 68 Charger 318, 66 Sport Fury 440, 2 69 Sport Satellites 383 (should have kept both) 65 Dodge Dart 273 (brother sold it out from under me...long story) and I still have the 68 Barracuda, 66 Valiant convertible, and 68 Charger.

I am 29 and I started with a 84 dodge daytona I have owned everything from SRT4's (both the neon and caliber) to a 66 dodge monaco I have owned a dodge truck from every decade starting in the 60s and I have owned a Mopar from the time I was 16 with no breaks. My current stock includes my first love my lil yellow dart and a fire breathing SRT 8 challenger.

Can I change my vote from the 16-20 to the 21-30 crowd now?

I'm 43 and now have a 68 Cuda, 67 Valiant, 04 Jeep GC (daily driver) and the wife's 12 Journey, and it's nice to see there is still plenty of young guys on here to continue the MOPAR passion...

I am 24, and my A100 has been in the family since it was one year old. My mom and dad got it from my grandparents two years before I was born, so I have been around it all my life. We had had other mopars, but not for as long as the A.

I'm 57, and the first car I legally drove was a '67 notchback Barracuda that was a driver training car. It had a slant six with auto, and at the time I had no idea that I would become a Barracuda owner later in life. I did have some Mopar exposure as a kid--my uncle had a '62 Valiant, and later a '67 Dart GT (slant six/auto) that my family bought from him in '72 for $1,000. I drove the Dart my senior year in high school and all the way through college. After graduating with a mechanical engineering degree, I had enough money to qualify for car payments(!), so I bought a new Thunderbird (I don't know why, except maybe I thought it would impress the women), and the Dart was sold for $300. My grandfather also had a '64 Polara and a '65 Custom 880 that my father acquired when my grandmother died in 1968. My brother totaled that car, which still smelled new and only had 17,000 miles on it, in 1975 when the front brake hose failed due to dry rot. But I digress--I could not go through my senior year in high school without a hot rod, so I bought the cheapest thing I could find--a '66 Valiant with a '68 340 in it for $575. I went through the motor in '75, adding a few goodies--also found an 8-3/4 rear end with springs from a '70 Dart for $60 including springs and brakes. I ran a 4.30 gear, and with the six-cylinder torsion bars, it actually launched pretty well, but I usually put in a clutch once a year. I found a '65 Barracuda in '78, and swapped the 340 and rear end from the Valiant into the cuda. I was tired of the yearly clutch routine, so went with a 727 Torqueflite. I still have that car, but the 340 is a little tired after 37 years, since I built the motor without planning for the complete demise of unleaded gas.

I am 43, my first Mopar was a '65 Barracuda when I was 16, hooked immediately, and I have had a '66 Belevedere, '74 Duster, '64 Dodge p/u, '74 and '75 Dodge power wagons, '85 Ramcharger, and now have a '68 Barracuda and '06 Dodge diesel. "Mopar or no car"
